Ontario to Announce New Research Funding for Carleton

The Government of Ontario will announce significant funding for Carleton University researchers under the Early Researcher Program and the Ontario Research Fund.

Where: Senate Room, 6th Floor Robertson Hall, Carleton University

When: Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010 – 11 a.m.

Background

The Early Researcher Award (ERA) program helps promising, recently-appointed Ontario researchers build their research teams of undergraduates, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, research assistants, associates, and technicians. The goal of the program is to improve Ontario’s ability to attract and retain the best and the brightest research talent.

The Ontario Research Fund – Research Infrastructure Program ensures that Ontario’s publicly-funded research institutions and their researchers continue to have competitive, state-of-the-art infrastructure to engage in world-leading research and technology development, and are able to leverage awards from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI.)
